About Me

First and foremost, I am a very proud nerd. I believe in science and am currently pursuing information theory in artificial intelligence. I believe our language and communication are physics constructs and thus follow information laws like the 2nd Law of Infodynamics. The only way to find out is via a scientific approach.

I also love science fiction. I grew up reading Asimov and watching Star Trek. I have enjoyed watching the Star Wars world grow from that first movie with Luke to the newest Jedis, like Ahsoka Tano. I have written short stories for years and launched a sci-fi trilogy, Time’s Reason. The first book in the series is Time’s Edge.

I am a consummate learner and seeker of knowledge. That is how I based my approach to teaching. I share knowledge and help others to create their endings based on what they learn through my teachings. My classes are high energy, full of respectful debates and where the person with the best answer wins.

Life is good

My life has been interesting, from learning cryptanalysis in the Air Force at the National Security Agency to flying satellites to starting my own software company (and several more along the way) to being a patented inventor and an instrument-rated private pilot. Along the way, I learned the most from my failures, not my successes.

I love writing. The freedom it provides me to create worlds and characters with outcomes I decide on is the most exhilarating energy I’ve ever had. I realize I am exposing a new part of myself to the world, which is exciting and a bit scary. I truly believe that this story will draw you in and provide a respite from everyday life. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it.

I have visited forty-seven states and lived in twelve. I’ve also lived in the Republic of Korea and the Federal Republic of Germany and visited thirty-two countries on five continents. I now live in beautiful St. Augustine, Florida (the country’s oldest city), amongst the backdrop of beautiful Spanish architecture, Atlantic beaches, and wildlife sanctuaries. I live with my wife and business partner, Sandra, and our little rescue dog, Ahsoka Doggo.
